Privacy Policy

Alchemy Consulting Group LLC Last updated: Sept. 2026

The short version

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We never have.

We collect two things: what you deliberately give us when you fill out a form on this site, and basic technical information that any web server records when a page loads. We use the first to answer you. We use the second to understand which pages people find useful.

Who we are

Alchemy Consulting Group LLC is a custom software development firm in La Verne, California. This policy covers alchemyg.com. It does not cover the software systems we build and maintain for our clients — see “Client data” below.

What you give us

The forms on this site ask for a name, an email address, sometimes a company name and phone number, and whatever you choose to write in a message field. The newsletter form asks only for an email address.

We use that information to respond to you, to discuss whether we can help with what you’re working on, and — if you signed up for the newsletter — to send you the newsletter. Nothing else.

If you ask us a question and we don’t hear back, we may follow up once or twice. That’s a person writing to you, not an automated sequence.

What we collect automatically

When you load a page, our host records the request: IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. This is standard web server logging and happens on every website you visit.

We also use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and how people arrive at the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address. We use it to make editorial decisions about what to write, not to build profiles of individual visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies for two purposes: to make the site function (session handling, form state, spam prevention) and for analytics as described above.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work. Most browsers also send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal if you enable it, and we honor it.

What we don’t do

To be specific, because generic privacy policies tend to reserve rights their authors never intended to use:

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any price, ever.
  • We do not share your information with advertising networks or data brokers.
  • We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.
  • We do not use session recording, heat mapping, or visitor de-anonymization tools.
  • We do not have affiliates, and we do not have “business partners” who receive your information to market to you.
  • We do not use your information to train machine learning models.

Who does see your information

Three categories of vendor, all of them acting on our instructions and none of them permitted to use your data for their own purposes:

  • Our web host, WP Engine, which operates the servers this site runs on.
  • Our email provider, Google Workspace, where messages you send us arrive and are stored.
  • Our newsletter platform, MailChimp, which stores subscriber email addresses and sends the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

We will also disclose information if a court order or law requires it. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

Client data is different

If your company is an Alchemy client, the data inside the systems we build and support for you is governed by our agreement with you, not by this policy. That data is yours. We access it only to do the work you’ve engaged us for, we don’t use it for any other purpose, and we don’t move it out of your environment except as your project requires.

This distinction matters because our clients are manufacturers and service businesses whose operational records — customers, pricing, production — live in the systems we maintain. Those records are not “website visitor data” and are never treated as such.

How long we keep things

Web server logs: 72 hours. Google Analytics data: 2 months. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Correspondence: we keep business email indefinitely, as most firms do. If you’d rather we didn’t, ask and we’ll delete it.

Your choices

Write to us at info@alchemyg.com and we will:

  • tell you what information we hold about you,
  • correct it if it’s wrong,
  • delete it if you want it gone,
  • or take you off any list you’re on.

No form, no verification portal, no thirty-day window. You’ll hear back from a person.

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the other rights are available to you, and the paragraph above is how you exercise them.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Access to our email and hosting accounts is protected by multi-factor authentication. We keep only what we need. No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t claim otherwise.

Children

This site is for business audiences. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has given us information, write to us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes — a new category of data, a new recipient — will be noted on this page rather than folded in silently.
