Privacy Policy for Balance: Vestibular Diary
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Balance: Vestibular Diary (“Balance”) is developed by Alchemy Consulting Group LLC.
Data Collection
Balance does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter — including episodes, symptoms, triggers, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device using local SQLite storage.
Barometric Pressure
Balance requests barometric pressure data from the Open-Meteo API (open-meteo.com), a free and open weather service. Your approximate location (latitude and longitude) is sent to this service solely to retrieve local pressure readings. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests, and no data is retained by Alchemy Consulting Group LLC as a result.
Location
If you enable GPS mode, Balance accesses your device’s location exclusively to fetch barometric pressure data. You location is never stored on any server or shared with any third party beyond the Open-Meteo API request described above.
Data Export
The export feature generates files on your device that you may choose to share with your doctor or others. Balance does not transmit these files — sharing is entirely at your discretion.
Data Retention
All data you enter in Balance is stored locally on your device and is retained until you delete the app or manually clear app data through your device’s settings. Alchemy Consulting Group LLC does not store any user data on external servers, and therefore holds no data that requires a retention period or server-side deletion.
Data Deletion
To delete all data associated with Balance, uninstall the app from your device, or use your device’s Settings > Apps > Balance > Clear Data option. Either action permanently removes all episodes, symptoms, triggers, pressure logs, and settings. Because no data is stored on external servers, no additional deletion request to Alchemy Consulting Group LLC is necessary.
